Dr Peter Antevy
Dr. Peter Antevy, innovator of the Handtevy Pediatric Resuscitation System, is a nationally recognized lecturer and expert in the field of pre-hospital pediatrics. He is extremely passionate about improving both adult and pediatric pre-hospital care and evaluating and improving upon currently accepted medical practice. Dr. Antevy received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1999 and then continued on to complete his pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He then achieved a subspecialty degree in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh before returning back to Florida where he has been a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital since 2005. Dr. Antevy also currently serves as the EMS Medical Director for Davie Fire-Rescue, Coral Springs Fire Department, Southwest Ranches Fire Rescue and American Ambulance, and is the Associate Medical Director for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Miramar Fire Rescue and Seminole Tribe Fire Rescue. Peter currently serves as the President of the Greater Broward EMS Medical Directors’ Association, an organization whose providers serve the 1.5 million residents of Broward County, Florida. For his efforts, Dr. Antevy was awarded the prestigious Raymond H. Alexander EMS Medical Director of the Year Award in 2014. He also was honored as one of the 2015 Top Ten Innovators in EMS by JEMS.
Amy Eisenhauer is a dynamic presenter at EMS conferences nationwide, raising awareness on topics such as provider wellness, response to hoarding events, and career development for EMS professionals. As a certified EMT, she has served the New Jersey EMS community as a volunteer and career provider since 1995. In addition to providing high quality medical care, Amy has taken on challenging roles as an EMS educator and training officer, currently focusing on continuing education at a local EMS consulting group. Most notably, Amy is a contributing author for several publications such as In Public Safety, EMS1, and EMS World Magazine and also hosts an interactive blog on EMS at TheEMSsiren.com, committed to improving the EMS community as a whole.
Aidan is a paramedic researcher and educator from Sydney, Australia with interests in point of care ultrasound, patient advocacy, and evidence-based medicine education.
He is currently a medical student at the University of Notre Dame in Sydney; an honorary researcher in emergency, cardiovascular, and critical care at Kingston and St George’s University London; and a sessional academic in the paramedic faculty at Charles Sturt University, Australia.
Aidan is the founder of the international Paramedic Ultrasound Research Group, the Paramedic Mythbusters online discussion group, and course director for The PoCUS Course series of prehospital and emergency ultrasound courses in the UK and EU. He is also a consultant to the Australian Institute of Ultrasound and has taught prehospital and emergency ultrasound around the world for various HEMS, defense groups, and medical societies. After his bachelor’s degree in paramedicine at the University of Tasmania Sydney, he completed a BSc Hons thesis examining ultrasound-guided IVs by paramedics, followed by a Graduate Certificate in emergency medicine clinical ultrasound, both at Central Queensland University. He has now returned to Sydney to study medicine after a year as a visiting paramedic researcher in London.
